Marriage counselling - do you need it?
By Cassie Levine of Breakupnot.com
Don't let decay and monotony take hold in your married life. You can keep your marriage alive by incorporating simple things that you can do on a daily basis. Trying to save one's marriage is not something one should put off until there is a red alert. Today and everyday is when you should be doing something to keep your relationship alive and sizzling. Remember when you were newly married? How have things changed since then? Do you still hug and kiss as frequently as you did then? If not, then it that is something you should do to revive your relationship immediately. Giving your spouse a passionate kiss on the mouth before going to work will put them in a good mood for the rest of the day panting to go home to you in the evening! Do you still look your partner in the eye and smile at each other? Smiles show love and happinesscontentment without a need for words. Marriages start decaying when the freshness wears off. You can do something to counter this by simply implementing something new into your married life. Give your spouse a surprise everyday. One does not need to spend money to do this – simple things work best. Put something exotic on your meal menu, or make a surprise call to your spouse during the day. My husband and I still regularly leave each other silly little love notes all over the apartment. We make a point of saying goodbye to each other even if we are not talking to one another or even if the other is still asleep. All during our marriage, even when we are not speaking to each other, he still makes me a cup of tea every day before he goes to for work. Have a look at the young couples you see in the malls and in the streets. Do you notice something about them? They tend to walk holding hands or with their arms wrapped around each other. Can you remember the last time you and your spouse walked anywhere holding hands? You can save your marriage today by breathing new life into it just by implementing a few small things that will make each other feel cherished and appreciated again. You will discover that your relationship will grow into a rich and rewarding relationship that you will appreciate more than anything and you and your spouse will look forward to spending time together again. However, if your relationship is in trouble right now you will probably find it hard to introduce the tips mentioned above. In that case you might be thinking in terms of marriage counselling to save your marriage.
